The Medieval gate to the city is what fairytale’s are made of, each cobblestone takes you on a wobbly walk through history. Entering through the gate under the Amersfoort crest (on the left) was one of my first impressions of the city before I decided to make it my home. Maybe it’s just me... or maybe it’s an ancient spell written in the stones... but when I passed through the gate I instantly fell in love with the city... and never wanted to leave!
