Hello, I’m Ashley.
I like to make things…
I have over 15 years’ experience working with some of the world’s most respected agencies and best-loved brands. Originally from sunny Edinburgh, I started my creative career as an Art Director in advertising, honing my design skills in London and Sydney before settling in Amsterdam. I now specialise in brand and packaging design, with experience across graphic, digital, presentation, environmental design, illustration and a little copywriting when needed.
I now live just outside the city with my wee family in Amersfoort. I’ve even picked up a second language along the way — so if you get tangled up in my Scottish accent, we can always try the Dutch. Ik heb er zin in!
I combine imagination and craft to create work that’s as effective as it is beautiful. I love a big idea and an ambitious conceptual project, but I’m equally happy getting stuck into the details, carefully crafting something or simply being the extra pair of hands a team needs.
I mainly work remotely from my studio in Amersfoort and can work independently, lead creatively, or slot into an existing team.

Meet my alter-ego…
I've always loved creating and telling stories. I've made a career out of bringing other people's stories to life. Besides my design career I tell my own story through my art. Originally from Scotland, I’ve created a gorgeously dreamy wee life as an artist in the beautiful, fairytale city that is Amersfoort. I create colourful, scribbly illustrations inspired by the places, buildings and little magical moments around the world that make any city feel like home.
Every piece begins by hand with pencil, ink or paint before being carefully refined into a finished artwork. Whether it's a familiar street, a favourite café, a much-loved landmark, or the way the light scatters through the trees, my aim is to capture not just how a place looks, but how it feels.
